From Goodreads:
Picking up the tale of
Kvothe Kingkiller once again, we follow him into exile, into political
intrigue, courtship, adventure, love and magic . . . and further along
the path that has turned Kvothe, the mightiest magician of his age, a
legend in his own time, into Kote, the unassuming pub landlord. Packed
with as much magic, adventure and home-grown drama as THE NAME OF THE
WIND, this is a sequel in every way the equal to its predecessor and a
must-read for all fantasy fans.
Oh my. I loved this book. Really, really loved it. I enjoyed the first book in the trilogy but I thought this one was even better. It was such a big book (about 1000 pages) but every last bit of it is so well thought out and I could barely put it down. Definitely in the top three books that I've read for this challenge. Can you tell I liked it?
I only managed one book this week but it was a pretty hefty one so I'm going easy on myself. This puts me at 33/50 so far. I've got a lot of travelling ahead of me this week so that means lots of chance to read. As always you can follow me over on Goodreads to see what I'm currently reading.
