We did it! We actually managed to have a Sunday adventure. This was
our first one since getting married last month and it did not
disappoint. We headed over to Lacock after a lovely breakfast at Cosy
Club for a walk in the sunshine and a wander through the abbey.
Even though the sun was shining I was still pretty cold. Matt took
the photos today because my hands were not functioning in the chilly
temperature too well. It was still a fun trip though and we were joined
by Matt's Dad which made the day even more enjoyable.
Since Matt was the photographer today we have hardly any pictures and
not one of the two of us so you'll just have to take my word for it
that it was an enjoyable, beautiful December day. I can't wait to be
having regular Sunday adventures with my husband again soon. Here's one
last photo of me that Matt took and I actually quite like, after some
editing of course.....
Life post wedding...
I know I have yet to write about the actual event but I promise that's coming. It's now been two weeks since we tied the knot and I can honestly say it doesn't feel much different. I don't know what I was expecting exactly but if feels like it never happened. I find myself getting excited at the thought of getting married still and then I realise that we've done that now. That bit has finished. I'm not sad at the thought of that though. I'm so excited that the next part has begun, that we're now husband and wife.
I've also started a little photo project from the day of our wedding until our first anniversary. I thought it would be a nice thing to do for our first year of marriage but it's already proving difficult to keep up with. I'm back at work now and it has been hectic so most of the photos are taken when I just want to crawl into bed. None of them are particularly creative or artistically beautiful but I really wanted a way to document us the way we really are at the this point right now. If you're interested in looking at it there is a link at the top of the page and if you can't be bothered to scroll up it's here. I've decided to go all in and start a 366 project with it in 2012 so fingers crossed I can manage it!

Surprise!!
We got married! Isn't that crazy?! We've managed to keep it a secret from pretty much everyone and it was so fun to see everyone's reaction when we told them. I will write up a proper post about it soon but I'm still taking it all in. I did keep a blog during the planning process so if you are interested in reading it you can find it here. I've also put some photos online which are here. That should keep you going until I have time to write it up. ARRGH.....can't believe we're married!
The Past in the Present...
Whilst in Gibraltar we decided to tackle a little photo project. As I mentioned in my previous post we had lived there when I was young and since we were travelling around revisiting places we decided to take some old photos with us. We then decided to both re enact the said photos and place them in our new photos. Unfortunately I don't have the re enactment photos as they are on my Mum's camera but these are a few of the others....
I know they're not perfectly lined up but I still love how they turned out. It was a really fun project for the three of us to do whilst there and also brought up loads of memories.

Gibraltar
I'm really late in posting this since we went on holiday in September but I really wanted the pictures on here. I went away with my Mum and Grandma to Gibraltar and it was lovely. The weather was beautiful and it was just awesome to have a week away relaxing and spending time with two of my favourite people. We actually lived in Gibraltar for a few years when I was a baby so although I don't really remember it it holds many happy memories for my Mum and Grandma.
We spent most of our days wandering around and sight seeing and our evenings were usually spent out eating and then retreating to our balcony to enjoy a few drinks, each others company and beautiful sunsets like these....
I don't know what else to say about the holiday except that I really had a lovely time. I am so lucky to have such an amazing Mum and a wonderful Grandma. Since I now live a couple of hours away from them, I don't get to see them as much as I like but a week in Gibraltar provided me with a hundred new memories of them to cherish. So I'll finish this post with a few more photos of us making memories....

Sunday Adventure 16.10
I had to go away for a few days on Monday so we decided to head out somewhere to spend some time together Sunday before I went. Lacock had an 'Apple Day' event so we decided to head there. The weather was unseasonably warm and lovely which was lucky as the event was outside. The place was really busy but after queuing for a little while we chose some yummy cider to taste, grabbed a hay bale and listened to some live music.
This is us enjoying the cider. We went for two different varieties so we could share and both were awesome. After sitting on our bale for a while, enjoying the atmosphere and getting broody we decided to head away from the crowds and look around the abbey.
We've been before but it had actually changed quite a lot in the last year. Unfortunately we were never too far from the crowds but we had fun anyway. I only managed to get a couple of photos inside though...
Before we headed back to the car we decided to walk around the grounds a bit. As I said the weather was glorious for October and I couldn't resist snapping a few more photos in appreciation.
Although the quality isn't great I really love how they came out with the sun flare. They're the kind of photos that make me smile to look at and that's the most important thing to me. Hope your Sundays were as lovely as mine...

A Birthday Box for my Brother
It was my 'little' brothers birthday yesterday and since he doesn't live near me I posted his present to him. As I was choosing a present I decided why stop there? So I sent him a little birthday party in a box....
I packed balloons, banners, a badge, candles and I baked him a cake. Here's a snapshot of all the contents together...
I was really happy about how it turned out and I think my brother enjoyed it. He said it even managed to get there in one piece, including that cake. I was damn happy about that!
